Appearance: Short Scraggy Brown Hair, Grey eyes. Wears a purple trim on his furs since he's the leader
Personality:Friendly, Kind, and more willing to accept new ideas compared to other leaders due to his trader upbringing

Bio/Backstory:
Aariak was born on a cold winter's night. Where all but the toughest of the tribe were in their homes conserving heat and hoping the storm would soon blow over. It was a quick and (Somewhat) painless birth, or at least as painless as a birth can be in the conditions of the time. He was brought into the northern tribe with a smile on his face and light in his eyes. In his early years Aariak loves to explore the city and for the most part get in everybody's way...repeatedly. He didn't have a troublemaker's heart, but rather an explorers one. And while he got in mroe people's face more often then...well anybody would have liked. It was understood that because he was the younger brother to Klamack, the boy who would become Chief. Aariak could pursue his own business, as long as he didn't hurt anybody.
While some would be bitter about not being in line for the chief Aariak took it in stride, instead of learning politics and manners, Aariak spent his days hunting and gathering, as well as learning the ins and outs of fishing and occasionally the larger trade boats that would come in and give him tips on how boats work. From a young age it was obvious that Aariak wanted to explore the world.
However, before Aariak could get the chance to explore he had to deal with life in the City. From a young age he was dsicovred to be a decent bender, and while he could bend, he prefered weapons. In the end he blended the two together in a personal fighting style that uses both. He's no master in either but he's quiet competent with them. He took some of the classes his older brother did, but for the most part his classes were more focused on the world or protecting himself, not running a city.
Then came the other difficult task of a noble's childhood: Making friends. Aariak quickly discovered that while to him his birth was the same as any other, other children were worried around him. Scared to offend him in case they incurred his wrath. Determined, Aariak did what few other noble's kids can. He strove to break the barriar between him and his fellow kids. After a few months he made friends with many of the other kids in town. Aariak learned in his own way how to reach others...something his brother never did.
When Aariak turned 20, he got onto a boat and started his life at sea. It was a mostly uneventful one. But Aariak got to explore the world and was happy. Learning about other ways of life as well as a few fighting styles of other nations. But because he always had to leave after a few days, he never recieved proper training.
However, all was not well at home. In his absense his older brother grew tired of waiting for their father to die of natural causes, and took matters into his own hands. Hiring an assassin from the Earth Kingdom he killed his father and mother in the dead of night. However not everything went to plan. When the assassain was eventually caught he spilled everything in order to save his life. The end result was a letter sent to Aariak that he was now the chief. Klamack had been banished forever from the water tribe, sent on a boat far away.
In the present day Aariak struggles to run a city he knows almsot nothing about. Although his many friends and allies help him he feels the pressure of running a city immensly, and is constantly striving to do what's right. During meetings he wears a mask of being a proud ruler, and he is. What he doesn't realize is he is doing a good job, he just feels like he's been thrown into something above him.
Aariak rules the tribe with a policy of "If I can't do it I can't excpect others too." Whenever he finds time he joins hunting parties or gathers matierials. It might be a way of him escaping politics but he feels like he helps more doing the work then ordering others too. Aariak is also more open to new ideas due to his travels around the world. Travelers are always welcome, as long as they mean no harm.
When it comes to dishing out punishment, Aariak could be much mroe harsh then he is. He prefers to use community service or banishment to mutilation or the death penalty. While the occasional person may think him soft the Northern Tribe is a tight-knit community, and Aariak normally finds a way in that nobody remains angry at anyone.

Weaknesses: Not very knowledgable in how to lead, relies heavily on those around him.
What are your character's goals in life?: To lead the northern tribe with as little deaths as possible
What weapon would this character prefer/be skilled with? Why?: Aariak can use most of the water tribe's weapons to some extent, and even a few of the other nations basic ones due to his expeariance in other places. However he feels most comfortable with the Water Tribe's Spear and Knife.
