THE RULES
The essential rules and regulations. These are subject to be changed if the need arises.
- Please write at least a paragraph with good grammar, and remember not to double post. If you have to write more or respond to something you didn’t previously see, go back and edit your original post.
- Respect both your fellow roleplayers and staff members, meaning that there can be no out of character racism or sexism.
- Do not powergame (forcing an action onto a player’s character), metagame (using information your character could not possibly know in character), godmod (creating a character that is too powerful/skilled with no visible practice), or create Mary Sue/Gary Stu characters (a character that is perfect, flawless, and skilled at everything). Along with the powergaming rule, injury or death can not be forced upon a character without the player’s consent.
- Keep everything PG-13, nothing too graphic. The rule is a little looser on swearing, but we will stop you if we feel you have gone too far.
- Try not to repeat anything from the shows, either Legend of Korra or The Last Airbender. We have tried our best to use only the world of Avatar. This means not to use characters or events like Earth King Kuei or The Hundred Year War.
- Please credit any artwork or pictures that are not yours, and keep these images small so that they don’t stretch the forum.
- You are allowed to have multiple characters, as long as they are actively roleplayed, and liquid time (having one character in more than one thread at one time) is allowed. Just be sure to give specifics on which character is being used. Somewhere in your post, be it in the actual post or your signature, include the character’s basic information like age, gender, and bending/nonbending skill.
- All positions of power for any character (Nation Leader, Avatar, High-Ranking Military Leader, etc.) must be gained through roleplay actions and approved by a staff member. You may not make a character that starts out as one of these unless given permission by a staff member.
- DO NOT abuse the chatbox. Spamming, excessive swearing, or suggestive content will result in punishment.
- Staff members have the authority to deal with situations they deem against the rules and are allowed to deal punishment as they see fit. This does not, however, mean that they are allowed to act outside the rules or abuse their power. Please report any breaking of the rules or possible abuse of power by the staff to another staff member.
